The Sox genes are a family of genes related to the mammalian sex determining gene ex-determining region Y protein (SRY). SOX genes genes similarly contain sequences that encode for the HMG-box domain, which is responsible for the sequence-specific DNA binding activity. Sox genes encode putative transcriptional regulators which have been implicated in the process of development and cell fate. At present 30 Sox genes have been identified and members of the family are conserved during evolution. Transcription factor SOX9 recognizes the sequence "CCTTGAG" as do other members of the high mobility group-box class DNA-binding proteins.

Cytochrome P450 (CYP) 1B1 is overexpressed in tumour cells and is recognised as a biomarker of the tumour phenotype. Recent studies have highlighted the potential of this enzyme as a novel cancer therapeutic target, resulting in several clinical development programs focused on CYP1B1-activated prodrugs and CYP1B1 inhibitors.

Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) is involved in the process of myelination of nerves in the nervous system. MBP Clone 40 is used in clinical diagnostics to detect MBP levels or myelination in human MBP. MBP 40 is used in a two-site ELISA with clone MBP 12. Both are used interchangeably as capture and detection antibody.

CYP450 Aromatase is part of the CYP19A1 family involved in the aromatization of androgens to estrogens, a highly conserved mechanism amongst mammals. Clone H4 recognizes a conserved epitope on the CYP450 aromatase, allowing for detection of aromatase levels using various analysis methods.

Centrosomal Protein 250 (CEP250), also known as Centrosomal Nek2-Associated Protein 1 (C-NAP1), is a core centrosomal protein required for centriole-centriole cohesion during interphase of the cell cycle. CEP250 dissociates from the centrosomes when parental centrioles separate at the beginning of mitosis. The protein associates with and is phosphorylated by NIMA-related kinase 2, which is also associated with the centrosome.
